Singing phenomenon Yunalis Zarai or also known as ‘Yuna’, has become the nation’s most popular singer on Facebook with over 650,000 fans.
Yuna along with kyanite.tv (co-creators of Project Alpha featuring Malaysia’s top bloggers, and producers of Astro Hitz’s recent Spinmaster DJ reality show) has just launched an exciting project called Astro Hitz ‘Yuna Inspired’ Powered By DiGiwith Canon as the official camera sponsor and Malaysia Airlines as the official flight sponsor.
More than a platform to connect with her fans, it is an interactive way to share creativity and ideas for her next song where her fans get to help her finish the lyrics of her latest song.
Every week, Yuna will post up a verse of the song, missing a single line and her fans can tweet or send a message on Facebook with their suggestions to complete the verse. Weekly winners not only will win cool prizes like Canon cameras, a signed guitar from The Guitar Store and exclusive invites to the ‘Secret Concert’ held at the end of the project, but they also stand a chance to a part of the singer’s upcoming new music video.
This will be the first time Yuna has collaborated with her fans to gain inspiration, and the contest will be supported by a series of webisodes in diary format of the young star’s life.
Astro Hitz ‘Yuna Inspired’ Powered By DiGi will also be following Yuna from Kuala Lumpur all the way to London and it will give fans a real peek into Yuna’s everyday life. The webisodes will go live every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from the first week of March 2011 on www.yunainspired. com.
